Automation Test Engineer (Rest Assured, Postman, Playwright)

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer with expertise in API testing using Rest Assured & Postman and UI automation using Playwright. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of applications across web and API layers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API and UI testing.
• Perform API testing using Rest Assured & Postman, ensuring proper request/response validation, authentication, and integration with backend services.
• Develop and execute UI automation tests using Playwright for web applications.
• Create, update, and execute test cases and test plans based on business and technical requirements.
• Work closely with developers, product owners, and QA teams to identify and resolve issues.
• Implement CI/CD integration for automated test execution.
• Perform data-driven testing, validate API responses, and check logs for debugging.
• Ensure test coverage, identify gaps, and continuously improve the automation framework.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in Automation Testing.
• Strong expertise in API automation using Rest Assured & Postman.
• Hands-on experience in UI automation using Playwright.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or Java for automation scripting.
• Experience with TestNG, JUnit, or similar testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Strong understanding of API authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
• Experience in working with JSON/XML, SQL for database validation.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to debug test failures.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud-based testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
